Sender style: The sender’s communication is focused on its own message or thoughts and does not take into account the thoughts or feelings of the receiver.

Receiver style: The receivers focus is on understanding what they are receiving from another person. They strive to give feedback as well as maintain a good relationship with the sender.

Combination style: This involves both elements from sender and receiver styles. It can also include empathy which is understanding how someone feels about a situation by putting yourself in their shoes.

Teamwork

Teamwork is a necessary skill for employees. It can be defined as the ability to work together to achieve a goal. It is essential in the workplace, especially when there are more than one people assigned to completing a task.

Learning new things quickly is a skill whereby you got to learn up the job, tools, techniques or skills of the job quickly. It is an in-demand skill in the workplace. Why? The working environment is always changing. One of the sayings I often hear at the workplace is “Change is the only constant”. Yeah, you may be wondering, at first, isn’t change always changing? Well, it looks at change being a ‘norm’.

This skill can be practiced by setting goals for yourself. First, you should define what it is that you want to learn. You should then create a plan that will provide you with the information necessary to complete your goal. Finally, you need to have a commitment to finishing what you set out to do within a set timeframe.

Apart from setting your timeframe and learning the new things on your own, another technique of learning new things quickly is seeking a mentor. A mentor is one who has gone through what you are about to go through. With a mentor, you are able to shorten the learning time.

Finally, hands-on approach. This approach is really helpful when you have a work that’s…hands-on. This is one way for you to not only learn by reading but learn by doing.
